Reserves are required and supplementary readings and other materials that professors have selected for specific courses. Print items are loaned for short time periods only and are held at the Circulation Desk.
Most reserves are available electronically.
You can identify Reserves for your courses by searching the Reserve system by Course Name, Course Number or Instructor.

Remember, if the material you need is not available at the USM Libraries or online, the Libraries can usually obtain it for you. Books should be ordered through URSUS or MaineCat if possible; for journal articles and for books unavailable through URSUS or MaineCat, use Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad).
The Library Liaison Program is designed to facilitate communication and foster collaboration between the Libraries and the University of Southern Maine community.
