ARH 327: Modern Art

Academic Search Complete is a large scholarly, multidisciplinary, full-text database. It includes peer-reviewed journals, popular, trade, and special interest serials, including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, and more.

Indexes articles from 1984 to present about art, architecture, archaeology, crafts, design, museology, photography, television and textiles, in addition to all aspects of art including graphic, folk, and decorative, from periodicals published throughout the world. This includes new artists, contemporary art, exhibition reviews, and feminist criticism--among others.

A database that cumulates citations to volumes 1-32 of Wilson's Art Index. International in scope. Covers architecture, archaeology, crafts, design, museology, photography, television and textiles, in addition to all aspects of art including graphic, folk, and decorative. Includes English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins.

The Humanities International Index provides indexing and abstracts for over 1,900 titles, from 1925 to present. Titles include articles, essays and reviews, as well as original creative works including poems, fiction, photographs, paintings and illustrations.

JSTOR is a full text digital archive of scholarly journals in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Coverage generally begins with the first issuse running to within 3 years of present. Current issues of journals are often available from other USM databases.

Project Muse, a project initiated by John's Hopkins University Press, provides PDF full-text access to more than 600 peer-reviewed journals from 250 university presses and scholarly societies. Project MUSE covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, economics, and others.
