To create and activate your New York Times account: 

  1.  While connected to the UMS network, visit AccessNYT.com. Search for University of Maine (ALL Campuses).
  2.  Create your NYTimes.com account, using your UMS email address. 
  3.  Download your free NYT mobile app. 

Once you have created a personal account while logged in at a UMS campus, you may use it to log on via browser or app from any location. Access includes news articles from 1851 to present; multimedia; podcasts and newsletters; an education site; and Spanish and Mandarin Chinese versions. 

Accounts must be re-authenticated every 4 years.
