Welcome

The USM Libraries’ collection includes 450,000 book and serials volumes,  access to over 200 electronic databases and reference materials, and 1300 current journal and serials subscriptions, along with access to full text holdings of more than 35,000 electronic journals.

The Libraries provide resources through a combination of purchases, subscriptions, shared collections through the University of Maine System Libraries (URSUS), state-wide databases, MaineCat and interlibrary loan.

If the material you need is not available at the USM Libraries or online, the Libraries can usually obtain it for you. Books should be ordered through URSUS or MaineCat if available; for journal articles and for books unavailable through URSUS or MaineCat, use Interlibrary Loan.

If you are a distance education student of the University of Maine System and need information about Off-Campus Library Services, visit the Off-Campus Library Services web site.
