Finding Articles

From now until the end of your time in college you'll hear professors say "go find three good articles on your topic."  If you go to Google you will have to wade through thousands of items to find a few good ones. Or you may be asked to pay ten to forty dollars for EACH article!  Don't go there!

The USM Libraries subscribe to literally thousands of journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. and you have access to them ALL.

Watch this quick tutorial on finding high quality, up to date articles that will meet your professors' requirements.

Always limit your search to full-text to avoid getting the ArticleLinker icon. ArticleLinker can easily confuse users and often does NOT link you to the full text.

If you can't find an article for the topic you're researching ask at the Reference Desk or use Ask A Librarian. We'll be happy to help you find what you need.
