Textbooks on Reserve
The Textbook on Reserve program has many, but not all, 100 and 200 level PRINT textbooks and selected higher level PRINT books on Reserve in the campus Library where the course is taught. Use your USM ID to checkout for 2 hours to use in the Library.
The program also has selected E-book textbooks.
Print Textbooks on Reserve
Print textbooks on reserve are at the main desk in the Library. Typically the book is in the Campus Library on the Campus where your course is offered. (e.g. A Portland course with a textbook on reserve, will be in the Glickman Library.) Check the list to confirm location.
E-book Textbooks on Reserves
E-book textbooks on reserve are online. Student can access by signing into MyUSM portal and then clicking on the E-book they want.

Electronic Reserves - You must sign into MyUSM portal (link below).
If your instructor is using BrightSpace:
1. Click on the BrightSpace icon.
2. Click on your course and its Electronic Reserves.
If your instructor is not using BrightSpace:
1. Click on USM Quick Links.
2. Click on Course Reserves (ARES).
3. Click on Search Courses.
4. Search for your Course by Department, Instructor, or Course Number, e.g. ENG 100, ANT 103,...)
5. Click Add Course, next to the green + sign. Now, each time you go to Electronic Reserves (ARES) you will see this course and won't need to add it again.
6. Click View Course and you will see a list of items (PDF articles, videos, ...)
7. Finally, Click on Show Details, View Items to open the resource.
