Summary

We partnered with with 31 faculty to deliver 52 class visits with a total attendance of 786 students from 19 areas of study.

How did students use primary sources?

This year, students used primary sources to 

  • learn about local community history, 
  • witness the impact of discrimination and activism, 
  • compare revolutions in the past and today, 
  • reflect on the history of their profession,
  • understand the research process, 
  • engage critically with museum and archives practice, 
  • inspire artworks and creative writing, 
  • prepare to conduct oral history interviews, and 
  • contribute to a history of USM.
