Assist new students in acclimating to USM Libraries and services offered.

Create Your Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) Account

Create an ILLiad Account by clicking on create an account

Complete the New User Registration form, making sure to answer all required questions.
Your Library Barcode number is on your USM ID card and begins with 218... or 250...
Be sure to use your maine.edu email!

Don't hesitate to request something, even If you don't have all the information

If you aren't sure of all of the information for a book or article request, and you need to put in an answer: type a zero, if the field requires a number or type a question mark, if the field requires a word.

Jot a note in the Notes Field, if you have a question. Our staff will contact you if they have questions.

You will know your request was submitted correctly,
when you see the confirmation and transaction number.

You will receive an email from the ILL staff regarding your article:
Email sent to user when article has been placed in user's interlibrary loan account

Sign into your ILLiad account. Click on VIEW to access the article.
Electronically received article in your interlibrary loan account
