Session Descriptions & Locations

Tooling Around: Five Fun Tools for the Classroom (Workshop)

Join Lindsay Decker and Topher Clark for an interactive workshop introducing five tools that can be easily implemented in the classroom (in-person or online). We will cover Picker Wheel, PollEverywhere, Mentimeter, Jamboard, and Padlet, providing prompts, examples, and opportunities for audience members to interact with the tools just as their students might in a classroom scenario. Participants will be able to practice using these tools in a way that is relevant to them. After the workshop, attendees will have a better understanding of an array of easy-to-use classroom tools that can be used for learning check-ins, engagement opportunities, and icebreakers.

Presenters:  Lindsay Decker (Science Reference Librarian, University of Maine, Fogler Library) & Topher Clark (University of Maine, Fogler Library)
